The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspected cultist caught negotiating to purchase an AK-47 rifle for N1.3 million.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, the suspect is a member of the Vikings Confraternity.
Edafe revealed that the suspect confessed to being a member of the cult and was attempting to secure the number one position within the group, which required him to possess an AK-47 rifle.
“He admitted to being part of the Vikings Confraternity and said that owning an AK-47 rifle was a condition for attaining the top leadership position. He was arrested while negotiating to buy the rifle for N1.3 million,” Edafe stated.
