PHOTOS: Customs Seizes Cannabis Worth Millions, Hands Over to NDLEA

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Niger-Kogi Command, has intercepted and handed over 283 parcels of cannabis sativa to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Minna.

The seized cannabis, with an estimated duty-paid value of ₦5.66 million, was a significant haul in the fight against illegal drug trade.

Comptroller Pascal Chibuoke of the Niger-Kogi Command, while briefing the press on the command’s activities over the last month, highlighted the cannabis seizure along with the detention of nine vehicles, collectively valued at over ₦170 million. He commended his team for their relentless efforts and assured continued recognition for officers who excel in their duties.

Receiving the intercepted drugs, NDLEA Niger State Commander Shehu Gwadabawa praised the strong inter-agency cooperation, underscoring the critical role of such partnerships in tackling criminal activities.
