The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has announced the appointment of Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree as the new Director of Energy Security. This strategic appointment underscores the government’s dedication to ensuring a stable, sustainable, and secure energy supply for all Nigerians.
In a statement released by Zakari Mijinyawa, Head of Strategic Communication at ONSA, it was emphasized that the newly established Directorate of Energy Security will be responsible for policy coordination, infrastructure protection strategies, data management, security coordination, risk advisory, and fostering strategic alliances within the energy sector.
Hon. Ojukaye Amachree brings with him over 20 years of experience in business, politics, and energy sector engagement, particularly in the Niger Delta region. His extensive track record of leadership in both public and private sectors positions him to play a critical role in Nigeria’s energy landscape.
The ONSA highlighted that in his new role, Hon. Amachree will oversee several key national energy security initiatives, aimed at enhancing energy stability and security while encouraging community involvement in safeguarding the country’s energy resources. These initiatives are expected to have both short- and long-term impacts on energy sustainability in Nigeria.
As Director of Energy Security, Hon.
