Police Launch Manhunt for Lagos Father Accused of Brutally Beating His Children

The Lagos State Police Command has initiated a manhunt for 48-year-old Kadiri Yusuf, also known as Alado, who is accused of severely assaulting his two children in the Orile Agege area of Lagos State.

According to reports, Yusuf inflicted severe injuries on his children, aged 11 and 13, which prompted a head teacher at their primary school to report the incident to the police. The teacher, outraged by the extent of the abuse, alerted local authorities to the children’s dire situation.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the head teacher discovered one of the pupils with visible wounds all over her body around 7 a.m. on Friday, October 18.

Hundeyin explained, “The teacher further claimed that upon inquiry, the 11-year-old girl confided in her how her father, Kadiri Yusuf alias Alado, used to beat her.” The young girl also revealed that her 13-year-old elder brother was subjected to similar abuse.

The victims have since been rescued, treated for their injuries, and placed in the safe custody of their sister. However, Yusuf fled his home before the police could apprehend him, and authorities are now working to locate him.

The police are urging the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
